WHAT TYPE OF WOOD CHIPS CAN I USE IN THE MUURIKKA ELECTRIC SMOKER?

Wood Chips, Chunks or Dust?
 
Is it Alder, Beech, Hikory, Maple, Oak or Apple.  Do I soak my oak in whiskey or water?
 
Using flavoured wood chips to impart a smokey flavour to meat, fish, vegetables or cheese is easy with the Muurikka Electric Smoker.
 
Choosing good quality wood to impart smokey flavours in your food smoker is just as important as choosing the right herbs for your rub.  
 
Always ensure you use wood chips that are safe, and, haven’t been treated.
 
You can purchase different types of wood chips from your local BBQ store (these are very safe to use.)
 
Generally Fruit Woods impart a mild taste and Nut Woods produce a stronger flavour.
