Smoked Beef with Horseradish Recipe
in the Muurikka Electric Smoker
1.5 kilos Braised steak
6 tsps Mixed Pepper Corns
2 Stalks rosemary and thyme (each)
Touch of brandy
Cut beef in two lengthways
Place in the Muurikka Electric Smoker and smoke for approximately 40 minutes
Crush pepper and mix in herbs
Rub brandy on to meat, season with salt, pepper and herb mixture
Wrap in foil and leave to rest for a while
Cut into thin slices and serve with horseradish
When you smoke large cuts of meat in our Electric Smoker you first let the smoker work as oven for 15 – 20 minutes (times are approximate).
After that open the lid of your Electric Smoker and insert the wood chip tray. Continue to smoke the beef for the remainder of the cooking time.
Our Electric Smoker recommends you Smoke Beef weighing 1.5kg for approximately 50 – 55 minutes.
Place the beef into the electric smoker for 15 minutes and let it roast without the wood chips. After this time, open the lid on your electric smoker, place the wood chips in the smoker and then smoke for 40 minutes or so.
