Easy Smoked Oysters Recipe

Muurikka Electric Smokers

 

Smoked oysters in olive oil are not only delicious but pack in a nutritional punch while adding smokey flavours of your choice. You’re providing your diet with a great nutrient boost.

 

Ingredients
 

1 kg oysters in half shell

3 tablespoons high quality extra virgin olive oil

A few pinches of sea salt

A few pinches of ground pepper

1 scallion chopped finely (green part only)

2 lemons

Peppercorns (optional)

 

Directions:

 

Combine olive oil, salt, pepper and scallions in a bowl. 

 
Place oysters in their shells onto the grilling tray and drizzle with the olive oil mix.
 
Refrigerate for ½ hour.
 
Take the oysters out of the fridge and smoke for approximately 20 – 25 minutes.
 
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
